Job Description:
Administers medical care to team members and responds to
emergencies according to standing orders and Peco Foods' policies
and procedures. Also performs general clerical duties. The open
shift is Thursday, Friday, & Saturday nights, and every other
Sunday night (8PM-8AM). (1) According to standing orders and
guidelines, give medical care to employees needing first aid and
evaluation and treatment of injuries and illnesses including
dispensing non-prescription medicine as needed for standing
orders.(2) Maintain and service equipment to include but not
limited to: AED's, BAT machine, medication dispensers, wax
machines. Checks, orders and restocks supplies for the Medical
Department including first aid kits, as needed. (3)Must be able to
execute duties assigned by supervisor including but not limited to:
maintain thorough and accurate recordkeeping of injury/illness;
understand recordability and possess strong foundational knowledge
of OSHA, and report and log any recordable injuries with OSHA. (4)
Complete and maintain accurate records associated with workman's
compensation claims; manage the filing of all employee health
records and follow the strict laws of HIPAA. (5) Initiate Incident
Reports, and electronically deliver to management accordingly.
Document specific and accurate charting on all incidents as well as
Conservative Care provided when treating Conservative Treatment
Program due to work related injuries. (6) Performs clerical duties
involving answering the telephone, taking messages, filing as
needed, typing, creating, and updating forms and maintaining daily
log of treatments. (This includes clerical duties for Human
Resources as needed.) Assist as needed with wellness and other
special programs administered by Medical Department. (7) Complete
pre-employment medical reviews. Obtains alcohol and drug tests as
needed for both regular and DOT employees in alignment with the
Drug & Alcohol Prevention Policy. (8) Treat all injured and ill
employees with compassion and prompt treatment. Assist Medical
Supervisor with work-related appointments, overall medical
management, and emergency care. On emergency basis only, transports
employees or coordinates transportation for medical care at
Emergency Room. Must effectively communicate with team members,
supervisors, managers, and visitors. Effectively identify
who/what/when for proper protocol in communicating medical events.
Contacts Medical Supervisor as needed for medical advice. (9)
Ensure that Medical office is cleaned on a daily basis. Audit/tour
production areas as time allows. (10)Maintain current licensure
through the State of Arkansas and hold current CPR/AED/First Aid
training. Supervised by Medical Supervisor. Duties are performed
with applicable policies and procedures subject to consultation on
own initiative with supervisor.(1) Required State Certification for
EMT, Paramedic, or nursing degree (2)Valid Driver's License (3)
Basic computer skills, ability to multitask, and strong verbal and
written communication skills
