Description:Vital Medical Transport is hiring a Ambulance Fleet Porter. The Ambulance Fleet Porter will make certain our vehicles are maintained, safe and prepared for response. The Ambulance Fleet Porter will help our team maintain exceptional and timely medical transportation services, care and customer service to our patients. Ambulance Fleet Porters will make sure that ambulances are fully stocked, safely maintained and prepared to provide medical transportation services.Manage vehicle inventory daily to ensure each vehicle is fully stocked with supplies and equipment. Update the equipment tracking log and request replacements when necessary.Work professionally to facilitate coordination of efforts between departments and crews.Perform full detail of all vehicles including, but not limited to, washing, polishing, vacuuming, internal/external cleaning, carpet shampooingAssist in performing preventative maintenance on all vehicles and maintenance equipment including, but not limited to; oil changes, replacing air filters, fluid levels etc.Assist in maintaining tires/wheels of each vehicle including inspections, cleaning, changing per applicable season, spare availabilities, and inspection/location of vehicle jacksEnsures all maintenance equipment is operational at all times and safeNotifies manager of any vehicle damages or the need for major repairsAssists in maintaining maintenance logs for each vehicle and stock parts and supplies needed to perform routine repairsMaintain a valid and clean driver record to perform vehicle appointments/errandsStay up-to-date on all traffic lawsOther duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management *Vital Medical Transport LLC offers a comprehensive benefit package including Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance **Employment is conditional upon and subject to completion of an Employment Application, the completion of a favorable background check, Motor Vehicle Report check, Drug Screen and approval thereof by the Company, in its sole discretion. A positive test will void any offer of employment and will cause termination if tested at a later date.Requirements:Minimum Requirements:State Driver's License, CDL Preferred but not mandatoryHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Driving record in compliance with company policyExperience working with vehicles, preferably in healthcare WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work involves exposure to the elements, extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and loud noises.Must be able to work in all environments.Extensive physical activity, heavy lifting, pushing or pulling objects over 75lbs.
